One of my favorite random bloggers makes his IE7: predictions // plasmasturm.org. I agree, thinking that he only left out one thing; a special bevy of client side hooks to make ASP.NET's custom controls work even better with IE. Like expanding the cobbled together event driven model to include support for rich, Google maps type apps. On IE only of course. Other "downlevel" browers will fall back to some very poor HTML only version.
Or maybe this is the domain of some other Longhorn technology already? Anyway, watch for it for sure: "Build rich web apps by clicking and dragging, just like visual basic."
