I don't see that this can hardly be earth shattering, since we've seen a "ringtones" tab in publicly displayed iTunes before, but the latest 7.3 update includes in it's resources directory a nifty little icon called ringtone.gif.
My question is, was this held out because of contract negotiation type issues, or was it just not quite ready? Luckily ringtones aren't a big deal for me, but it definitely feels a little evil to force to you to pay for your songs that you've already purchased just to use them on your phone. Clearly though ATT is going to want to protect that revenue stream.
