More iPhone goodness: headphones

July 2, 2007

So, a less obvious piece of the iPhones UI is the headphone set. The pause/play button is well thought out. Satisfyingly tactile, you can start or stop music, answer calls, and skip tracks without ever digging the phone put of your pocket. Its actually a significant bump over the iPod, where when the thing was buried in my pocket I found the easiest way to pause was to just pull the headphones out otherwise the routine was "fish from pocket, slide hold switch, hit pause". Now its just "squeeze button."

Cool. And yes this posted via iPhone, on the edge network, from the train. It won't win any download contests but its fast enough for me.
